My name is Geri, I’ve been a crafter since I was old enough to hold a pair of scissors, and my love of craft has now evolved into creating a gift shop with handmade earrings for sale, all made in my studio in Newcastle NSW. We guarantee all jewellery handmade in Australia by the owner and maker.

I recently moved my home based studio into a creative studio at Hamilton, called Onwards Studio. I find inspiration everywhere I look at my studio, and working with the talented people there gives me motivation and encouragement to keep making interesting and unique handmade earrings.

Polymer Clay
All Flicka Handmade earrings are made from polymer clay. Polymer clay is lightweight and makes an excellent earring design material. It comes in a large range of colours and metallic effects. I also use metallic pigments and metallic gold foil and silver foil in the design of some of my jewellery.

I also own 2 dachshunds and am currently working on a handmade dachshund earrings design. In the past I’ve had requests to make sloths and clucky chickens. I created these in both stud earrings and drop, dangle or hook earrings.
Don’t forget to care for your earrings, they are tiny and delicate and need to be stored and carried separately to avoid damage. Avoid dropping them on hard surfaces and be sure to carefully wipe with a damp cloth to clean them. I have created a safe way to ship the earrings without damage, by presenting them in a gorgeous black gift box with tissue paper to protect your items while they’re in transit shipping.
